Chapter 4 is in the queue to post tomorrow morning.
Groups of Americans disproportionately affected by the Sa'arm advance south from Canada are Native American tribes. Because of a fortuitous rescue of Native American children, Smokey and Richard are designated as representatives and intermediaries to negotiate appropriate assistance for the tribes.
This chapter is shorter than most, but longer chapters follow.

For years, I and others have been borrowing and/or stealing ideas from drafts of this story. If you see an idea that looks familiar, lordshipmayhem had it first. Now he can have the credit he deserves.
Read it! Enjoy! Personally, I think it is one of the best, if not the best of the Swarm Cycle.
Chapter Three: Ring of Fire is in the queue for tomorrow morning. Richard and Smokey are no longer on active duty in a sandbox and are experienced smoke jumpers. Then their boss comes up with a bizarre job assignment.
I can tell that some of you are reading THE Harem Tales to refamiliarize yourselves with charaters. Some charaters from Mutiny on the Bunte Kuh will appear later. Not necessary to read, but for those who like to dot the i, reading this might help.
