Chapter seven is close to beta status. Chapter eight has been started and stopped several times, but it has a structure, and I'm filling in the story. Chapter nine also has a structure and is coming along nicely.

There is a lot in seven I like. Good character interactions and a love scene that had my wife blush. At least I think she was blushing. She could have been mad; it's hard to tell.

I'm going to push on to finishing eight before releasing seven. If at all possible I'd like to release both close together.

This new version should have fewer errors.

Chapter six has been uploaded along with an updated chapter five. The changes to five were all minor.

Six begins the tying up of open threads. Characters are moving into position for the resolutions to their stories.

Chapter seven is in progress. It has a good structure, and many of the key scenes have been written.

I've learned a great deal while writing this story and am considering a future rewrite of the first two, maybe three chapters.

Chapter six is with my editor. At nearly 16k words in length, chapter six is the longest to date. It includes details that have been hinted at but not fully explained.

Chapter seven is in work and progressing well. Currently, it's about 8k words long. For those wanting more action, seven will be your chapter.

I plan on uploading an updated chapter five soon.

An astute reader caught a mistake. It has been corrected.


Somewhere between versions two and three, I deleted a scene where my protagonist learns his future father-in-law had a misunderstanding.


I have replaced the scene as well as corrected a few minor errors.


If you wish to locate the addition, search for the word "misunderstanding." the first two instances of the word are what you want.


Also, I would like to thank my readers. With the release of chapter five, my story had more downloads than with any other single chapter. Currently, chapter six is 28 pages long, and I have more to add. It may prove necessary to split six into two chapters.
