In today's chapter I tell a story about a canoe adventure that about get's my character's family killed. That is an actual story from my childhood. When our canoe shot into the woods and hit a tree head on I thought we were dead. The canoe swung around and the back hit another tree pinning us. We had to tip the canoe on its side so the water didn't roll in. I can laugh about it now...
My dad thought that if you didn't almost die on an adventure you weren't living.

Begins posting today. I hope you enjoy it. So far the feedback has been great.
I want to thank everyone who got the pre-release and provided feedback and error corrections. With your help and my editors I think we have a clean version to present to the people on SOL. Thanks for all your help.

My editor is telling me that I should just post the Interlude next week and then Chapter 1 the following. Should we post both?
Majority rules.
I know how most of you prefer to leisurely read it each week. I simply want to do what you all want.

Yes, it is still on schedule for 8/26.
Yes, Part III is being written.
Yes, I will get David through high school.
At that point I will step back and have to answer 2 questions:
1) Do people want to read more?
2) Is the muse willing?

It was three years ago that I took the long weekend and sat down to write my first short story. I'd found SOL and thought I would post it and see what people thought. That story was Stupid Boy. Somehow it got away from me...
Busy writing Junior Year Part III. The goal is to have it ready by Spring of 2018. Part II will begin posting August 26.
Enjoy your weekend.
