So, I just thought I'd toss out a little update on when the next chapter of Tales of the Wastelander will be arriving. I was originally going to wait until around July next year, which would have been the release of chapter 20 for my patrons.
But, in light of the many messages and emails I've received, begging me to release chapter 2 sooner, I have decided to do just that. Instead of releasing a public chapter for every 10 that I write for my patrons, I will release a chapter for every 5 that I write.
As I am currently working on chapter 11, that means that chapter 2 will see its way here before the month is over! When will it arrive? Soon. How soon? SOON!! I know folks are chomping at the bit for this one and I get your need to have more! A few days more and you will be enjoying chapter 2, so a little patience, please. Anyhoo, I just thought I'd update my readers here on what's coming and hope that everyone keeps enjoying the stories I write. Cheers!!
Many of you here on the site might be wondering what's going on lately, as I've been rather quiet about a lot of things. Well, allow me to change that and drop a content update for you all!
First off, I've got some good news! I have recently moved to a new place, which is more than large enough for me to have a proper office space! Some folks here may not understand this, but to me, this is huge! Now I can work in complete peace and quiet, allowing me to keep my focus on my work, rather than having errant noises and the like continually distracting me!
Secondly, I have decided to cool the pace at which I am writing. I was writing 5 story chapters per month, which, after running the numbers, boils down to about 65,000+ words per month, which is not a lazy pace, despite what some haters and trolls say. While I could keep this up, I could feel myself rapidly approaching a burnout point. So, I have reduced the number of story chapters from 5 to 3, which is a more comfortable pace of writing and allows me to retain my sanity, lol!
Due to this, I will no longer be dropping double chapters each month, but will instead be rotating stories from month to month. Last month, I dropped a single chapter of Project Prometheus. This month, it will be a single chapter of Gaia's Champion and they will continue to rotate from there.
Lastly, I wanted to say that as far as my story content goes, it will firmly stay in X rated territory. That means that Project Prometheus chapters that were released without any naughty bits will soon be amended to include them. I know some folks will not like this, but its the way I intended for them to be written.
I will still keep my R-rated versions and release the full scope of those versions of my stories, but not at this time. When will I get around to writing stories of that content level? When I no longer have to drive 74 kilometers (46 miles) to work and have become a full-time writer. When I wake up and the furthest I have to go to get to work is 21 steps, then I will put in the time and effort needed to make R-rated versions of my stories.
I hope that everyone is well during this pandemic and that you are all practising social distancing and keeping you and your loved ones safe. Heppy reading and good fortune to you all! Cheers!
For those who are reading my stories for the first time, please be aware that my older chapters aren't quite as polished or as well written as my latest work. There is also the fact that I am one man, who is doing everything by himself. The concepts, frameworks, writing, editing and polishing is all done by me, which is a task in itself some days.
I am working on reworking them to be updated and better versions of what they are. But because I am a one man crew, these reworks will take time. I am well aware of the mistakes I have in my earlier works and even the odd one that slips past me in my current ones.
Please, have patience, as I'm not a full time writer yet. I work on this when I can, with what time I can scrounge during my busy schedule. With so much that goes on, it's a wonder that I get any time to write at all! Anyways, I do hope that everyone understands this and bears with me as I work through this. Thank you and cheers!
Good evening everyone! I hope that you are all doing well tonight! As of this moment, I will be posting constant updates at least once a month. That way, everyone can stay up to date on the goings-on of the page, the status of the stories I write, as well as the extra content I am working on.
The first thing I'd like to bring up is the posts of the past month. Normally, I'd have the chapters I'm working on posted before the month's end. Sadly, these past few weeks have been... troubling, to say the least. Many changes in my personal and familial life have taken me for a tailspin and as a result, I haven't been able to focus on writing as I should have.
These changes have... thrown me off, and I needed some downtime to process them. But, thankfully, I have managed to deal with it and am moving on.
Secondly, I'd just like to say that I am amazed and happy to see so many new people pledging to see more of my stories! I can only hope that I am showing you worlds and characters that you enjoy and love to read about! It is always a joy to see and hear that people enjoy my work this much! I am more than happy to keep delivering more stories, more content and very soon, sketch work of my characters, locales, and much more!
The final matter to speak about is another change that will be happening, but it is both a planned and happy one! Things are going well enough to where I will be moving in the next six months, to a place that always felt more like home than the big city. Because of the rapid growth of people pledging, by then, I may have enough support to where I don't have to look for a job! Which in turn, means that I can work exclusively on my writings, as my new full-time job!
This in itself is very exciting, but I also have to be prepared, in case I don't have enough support by then. It would be amazing if I did have that much support by summer's end, but I am making sure to cover all of my bases if that is not the case. Either way, things have changed and are changing, but the stories will continue on regardless. I hope you are all having a great evening. Cheers!
So, I have reached my decision and have decided upon a more middle of the road approach. For the story of Project Prometheus, I will continue to write the story, with the R-rating to it, but I will start removing the overly explicit scenes from it. The happenings themselves, the innuendo, the romance, the build ups, it will all be alluded to. But as far as the rest of the details are concerned, I will let the reader imagine them.
Concerning Gaia's Champion, that one will still be of a more explicit tale, as to do such a drop of explicit content would require an extensive rewrite. So, don't worry, the stories will come as they are supposed to, just with a few tweaks. The stories as you know them and the plots that have been put into place won't change, I promise.
As far as Tales of the Wastelander is concerned, the jury is still out on that one, but I will let you know as soon as I have reached a decision regarding it. Wings of Fire? When I get back to bringing that one out of cryo sleep and looked over the story as it is, I will let you all know. I know there will be some people who will not like this direction and that's a price I'm willing to pay. I do hope that everyone understands this and the direction that I'm taking as a writer, and I hope that everyone still enjoys the stories I write for your enjoyment. I will post the updates as soon as they are ready. Cheers!
