A blizzard hit yesterday. Now I sit here watching out the window at all the snow and my now limited outdoor activities. In solidarity to those readers facing the same or similar I am posting a bonus chapter this weekend. Chapters 6 and 7 will be released today and tomorrow. Enjoy.

PS... Book 3 is finalizing. I hope to have it available in early March.

Chapter four is now in the queue for ASAP posting. I had mistakenly put it down for next week and luckily noticed that it did not go up this morning. Sorry about that. Hopefully the mods will get it up soon.

Two bits of news.

The first is that I think after twelve days I am starting to feel better after coming down with the "virus of unknown origin." All I have for remaining symptoms is a hacking cough. I've been getting a full nights sleep for the past week so that really helps.

the second bit of news is I put something in the queue for posting tomorrow morning. It is the prologue and chapter one of my second book in the Make the Cut series. Book two Cutting a Swath is a direct sequel to John's story from book one.

I will be posting a chapter a week like before but I've noticed my chapters are now averaging 5k words instead of 3k so you will be getting more with each release.

On future news, book three Final Cut is progressing well and is at the 95 percent stage. I've sent out much of the story for proofing and am now just finishing it up and giving it a final polish. This will conclude Johns main story. I expect to offer it for sale sometime in March. It will post on SOL and SciFiStories a month later.

Saturday, Jan 2, I will begin posting chapter one of my second book in the Make the Cut series. The title of the second book is Cutting a Swath and features our main character John as he deals with the revelations of book one. Join him on his desperate quest to find more answers and possibly a way to fight back against those who caused the Earth's destruction. The stakes have never been higher for John as he risks discovery and sudden death the whole time.

First the good news. Over the weekend I posted the last chapter of my story Make the Cut. Thanks for the kind emails and comments! Hearing that so many enjoyed the story and could not wait for more was exciting and heartening. Pure fuel for the ego!

Book two is on the way and our hero's story will continue in Cutting a Swath.

Now the bad news. As a marketing person I am a failure. Last night I finished the final, final, final, read through of Book two and this morning I published it on Bookapy. This happening a day or two after three thousand plus readers finished the last chapter of book one is surely an example of marketing stupidity. Oh well ... timing mistakes were made and there is nothing that can be done now except move forward.

So, in summary. If your a fan crazed enough to be reading my blog you now know that more of John's story is available. Check it out and I hope you like it. I'll say this. The stakes have never been higher for our hero.
