Despite an old-person brain fart that enabled me to delete the 2/3 of Chapter 265 I had written yesterday before I had it backed up, I managed to re-create it well enough today. Thus, I have the next four chapters of Beth uploaded to begin publishing every four days (the usual interval) on the 12th (Chapter 262), with Chapter 265 publishing on the 24th. All but 265 are long chapters.

Overall, work continues to be slow, so I have lots of time for writing and hope to get a few more chapters ahead.

I've uploaded the corrections for Chapter 258 (the edited version will post in the morning) and have gotten a lot of the next chapter written as well as some small parts of a couple of future chapters.

I'm back home and should have lots of writing time in the next two or three weeks, so hope to get well ahead. The posting schedule will be every fourth day as I've tried to have it for a while.

The company for whom I work suddenly received an order for immediate and time-consuming fieldwork, and I've been burning the work candle from both ends for nearly a week, and it will probably last for another week. That may well mean that I won't make the 23rd for the next chapter (257) of Beth. I'll get it and subsequent chapters published as soon as I can.

I've got the next two chapters uploaded and they'll post on the 7th (253) and 11th (254) sometime after 8 pm New York time. This post also serves as a warning that work may cause me to have less writing time for the next week or two, but I hope to continue to publish at four-day intervals. We'll see how that goes.

has been uploaded and will post later today. Work got crazy this week, so I missed my usual every-fourth-day posting. I think next week will be calm, so should be able to find some extensive writing time to get back ahead. However, the only reason that will be true is the piss-poor cloud forecast for the eclipse on the 8th. I was hoping to see both the eclipse and the Devil Comet, but I don't have time to travel as far as the few bits of projected clear or clear-ish skies in the path of totality. Bummer.
