I've spent the vast majority of my life not writing stories. Oh, I've written a lot, for hard-copy publications, but that was all of a technical nature; no fiction. Only in the past few years have I considered writing stories for online publication sites such as this, despite my mind frequently coming up with ideas. So, after decades of writing technical articles for a number of publication venues in my field, I find myself in my golden years with a bunch of ideas, the beginning chapters of three stories, and an ungodly number of words already penned for the first story that I will post here.
