I posted the last chapter of Community Service - The Prequel this morning. I'd like to thank my proofreaders and editors once again for their hardwork and assistance in making the story readable for you, the readers. I'd also like to thank those who provided me with feedback on the story and those who scored my tale. Your interaction in the creative process is an encouragement for us writers, who would otherwise sit in a sea of silence not knowing if their work had resonated with the audience. Again thank-you to all the readers and stay posted. I am working on other stories, but for now I won't be posting.

I have just posted the 'Prequel' to Community Service. It is a short story; only eight chapters long. I hope you enjoy. The story does include racially derogatory terminology in the first chapter, relevant to the time period the story is set. The use is to establish a mood and an authenticity of the time and it is not intended to offend anyone. My apologies if it does.

First off I'd like to thank my editors for all the hard work that they put into cleaning up my original drafts so that you the readers could actually read the tale and enjoy it. They were a great help. I would also like to thank those readers who did let me know when a typo slipped through, or when I'd made a statement that didn't make sense. They kept me honest and their help is greatly appreciated. Finally I'd like to thank you readers for reading. I'll admit here that I hadn't expected so many people to follow the story when I first posted it. For those who took the time to send me feedback, both positive and negative, I appreciated that, just as I appreciated the suggestions put forward by many of you throughout the course of the story. Originally this story was only supposed to be twenty or so chapters. It got away from me, although from what people have told me, most of you didn't mind. Once more I'd like to thank everyone out there who took the time to read Gateway. Until I post again, take care.
