In a matter of hours I got a hell of a lot of feedback from SOL denizons. I like to thank everyone who dropped me a line and thank them. I'm still sifting through them picking what I need for my story. Most people came up with about the same view on the edibility of stuff in the freezer section. I appreciate the time many of you put in providing an answer.

Currently I'm working on a post-apocalyptic tale and I need some information. It about six weeks after most of mankind met there end and the primary character is out foraging. He heads into a grocery store. The power is still up here and elsewhere in the story. He walks over to the freezer section. There is ice cream, pizzas and in the cooler section all your normal dairy products. Ignoring the fact that most of the products are well past the manufacturer's recommended eat by date, what is the possibility of him finding anything still edible. I'm only focused on the freezer and cooler section. Yes the store is filled with tons of dried and canned goods that he can take for his own use but he wants ice cream, pizza, and some cheese. How long can a tub of ice cream sit in a store freezer or a brick of butter in the store cooler> Does anyone know?

I've done some online looking but I can't find anything related to this.

'Spank Me Daddy' is a new one-off story for me. I just posted it for your reading enjoyment. It is a little different for me but it popped into my head this morning and I just had to write it. I hope those who do read it, enjoy it. By the way it is not an incest story so don't automatically default to scoring me a one. That has happened before. Also note that this story did not go through an editor or proof-reader. I'm currently without one and until I get something substantial written I will probably be without one for a while.

Speaking about writing I have been writing other stuff. I just haven't reached a point where I want to go to press with anything. I've in fact ended up doing multiple drafts of a couple of stories because I don't feel them after a few pages like I did when I started writing them. Hopefully I'll get something rolling soon.

Again I hope those who read 'Spank Me Daddy' enjoy it.

I would like to thank all my readers out there who dropped me a line concerning my story 'Community Service'. I am grateful that I was able to put a smile on so many faces. I'd especially like to say thanks to those who picked up typos and let me know about them. As always, nothing is perfect the first time around. I've been making corrections as they come in and reposting the story as quickly as possible. Hopefully I've been able to get it cleaned up properly. If not let me know.

Tomorrow I will be posting a new story. It'll be a one off story and not a serial. The theme is a western with a minor sci-fi twist at the end. There will be minimal sex in the story. If you don't like westerns or if you're looking for a lot of sex don't read this when it shows up on SOL. I do hope people enjoy it. If you do, please let me know.

I have been writing since I put an end to my last serial. In fact I've started about a dozen stories. I've started a couple of post-apocalyptic tales, a few back to the stone age tales, I've begun work on a thriller set in Victorian times and I've even begun writing a sequel to the 'Voyage of the Hawk'. The unfortunate thing is I haven't gotten the fever for any of the stories that I've started. While they all have potential, they just haven't made me want to write more than I've already have. Hopefully one of them will. Until then I'll just have to keep trying new ideas and see where they lead me.

Also of note is that my proof reader has informed me that he is putting down his red pen and stepping away from the job of catching my typos and other errors. I'd like to thank him here for all his help. It has been greatly appreciated. It does however mean that eventually I'll have to recruit a new proof reader / editor. I'll see about that once I've got something to share on this site.
