I've posted a short story for my roleplay universe. A little experimenting with this one: I wanted to see how I did writing in 3rd person and also with describing a battle scene.
Chapter 7 has been submitted to the queue. I'm finishing the rough draft for 11. Thanks to those of you who have been providing input, it means a lot that you are enjoying my story.

I was asked about when the next chapter will be posted, so wanted to also answer here. Specifically for the next chapter it should be by tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest. I'm still planning on at least one chapter every 2 weeks. Though to give some insurance I'm writing ahead. Currently I am working the rough draft for 11. That way even if things get busy, I've got several chapters that only need a final edit before being able to be submitted for posting. I would rather be able to keep the 2 weeks goal that way than try to pressure myself to writing the chapter that's to be posted within the same 2 week window of posting it. It also allows my editor time to be able to review things, as above all I do not want him feeling pressured to meet my goals.
Above all: thank you for the feedback/suggestions I've been getting. Some of it you'll see in upcoming chapters. Others I'm purposefully leaving out to still give our intrepid heroes challenges to overcome. If the compound is setup to with stand months of seige like castles of old, there's no challenge for them to meet.

I've been doing well on my writing pace. Chapter 10 rough draft is complete and 6 is going to be submitted to the posting queue after this. So far I've kept sex out of the story but I'm debating on that one. Feel free to give me feedback if you think it would make a nice addition. However, be aware it will never be a real focus on my story, just a side note to other things going on. Those of you who have stuck with me you'll start seeing some of the improvements come gradually in each of the next few chapters as well as the addition of characters both allied and opposing our heroes.
