How does this sound for a story description? A doomsday prepper finds out he really was preparing for the end of the world when a superflu wipes out over 95% of the population. What would you do when you're a loner facing a world ending pandemic? (Inspiration borrowed from the superflu from the book "The Stand" by Stephen King). Some codes to be added as they come. This is a result of Veteran's Day thoughts. Meant to be something of a tribute to the generation of Soldiers/military that came before me. A family story told in two parts, the father and the son and contrasting the experiences they each would go on to have. No sex. Part 2 will be coming within the next few days. Remember: the sex code is NO SEX. If this bothers you, feel free to skip this story.
The idea for this story has been bouncing around in my head for a while now and I finally was in a situation where I felt compelled to actually write it. The basis for the story is the song by the same name "One Boy, One Girl", by Colin Raye. So the idea and all lyrics quoted are credited to him and his songwriters.
