The Irish townspeople in the movie “Ryan’s Daughter” believe that Rosy betrayed to her British lover and they take a vengeful justice by dragging Rosy out into the open in front of the mob to shear off her hair. But many like Maureen, feeling jealous of the pretty girl, want to humiliate her by stripping off her clothes in front of the mob to cause her intense embarrassment. As Rosy struggles her blouse rips and the women holding her begin to tear off her clothes until she’s completely naked.
