This story started out amazing. It was hot, exciting and sometimes even thrilling. A strong power fantasy that’s a bit perverted, objectifying, excessive and challenged my ability to suspend disbelief but didn’t take itself overly seriously and was all in good fun. I loved it!
It started to get crazier and crazier, more and more unrealistic until at some point it just went right ‘off the rails’. I didn’t know what was going on anymore, the science fiction concepts seemed like some fevered LSD dream and I couldn’t even follow the ambiguous highly concise techno-babble dialogs between MMC and the AI. Villains suddenly turned against them for various reasons and repeatedly went all out to capture or destroy them by any means possible. MMC was content to just sit back and let them take pot shots at him and his girls rather than go on the offensive. MMC mysteriously and miraculously developed magical powers. Everything would’ve been ok still but it kept escalating and becoming more and more ridiculous. A power fantasy that got totally carried away and silly to the extreme.
Worst of all, the sex started changing to one line descriptions and/or fade to black right before what should’ve been the best/most intimate scenes. What? Not only that but his first two loves were ruthlessly and permanently killed off. So many time travel shenanigans but the author didn’t have the MMC go back in time to rescue them. That’s not how you write a good harem genre story.
To make things worse, even though this is supposed to be a romantic story about a man building a harem (LOL) it turns out that all girls/women in the world are bisexual and are obsessed with lesbian sex. Another fake harem story ruined by a fetish some men have to be cuckolded and cheated on by lesbians. Late in the story MMC’s girls explicitly cheat on him with girls who he has no relationship with. These types of stories where MMC ‘collects’ too many women (they seem more like toys to him at this point as they become totally objectified) to have intimate romantic relationships with often devolve into lesbian orgies for guys to jerk off to. Maybe the author doesn’t think the MMC is being cheated on and cuckolded because he views the girls as ‘fucktoys’/possessions rather than actual people….
What started out as very hot erotica slowly started fading out love and sex and replacing it with a crazy nonsensical plot that I had no interest in reading anymore. At first I loved the MMC’s building power (ESP, wealth, strength), reputation and good deeds (albeit for selfish reasons) but it eventually got out of control and took over the whole story.
The worst is the cliff hanger ending which left the fate of the last four girls unresolved. The MMC spent the whole story having dubiously consensual sex with underage girls but then right at the end he supposedly develops a conscience and doesn’t want to have sex with them until they talk with the rest of his girls. He’s known since the middle of the story that all Demopolis girls are highly submissive and need a master (not to mention they are stuck with him several light years away from what’s left of Earth) so it’s all complete and utter bullshit. I have no idea what was going through the author’s mind at this point but I guess he was feeling contempt for the intelligence of readers who were stupid enough to stick around to finish the story.

There is a lot of fucking in this story. And there was a plot. Actually there are a number plots; not subplots, major plots. They just seem to merge.
It begins with a lot of fucking, which is really just autofocus's way of assembling the harem. Then the plot gets weird; so just when I thought there would be nothing but fucking young teenage girls shit hits the fan, which in no way prevents our hero from fucking more teenage girls, young teenage girls. And just when I though I had this figured out the plot shifts to an even more outrageous series of events.
And there is the joy of discussing neighborhood food in Manhattan, fucking yet more teenage girls and the plot gets weird again, but a different kind of weird.
Let's face it, it is right there in the description for all to see, it says quite clearly, "science fiction." I simply wondered when and how it was going to show up. It shows up, then it shows up again but different; did I mention he fucks a lot of teenage girls and even some that aren't teenage girls? Then you get more science fiction that is even stranger and more sex and then the book ends but the story doesn't. So I am going to read part dos tonight because a new semester starts tomorrow and I will not have time to sit down and read a long story on SOL in one day. Did I mention that I really like this story? I do.
