I happened upon this little gem while waiting for other authors...actually, waiting for this one too, to post more new stuff. It is a short story of infidelity, revenge, murder, donut eating cops, an angry detective, and best of all, it's a comedy. (Cue music from A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.)
One minor error of word use that is as common as can be. Verbal means oral and written. Verbal is too often used to mean only oral.
Meaning my first wife was neither verbal, written or especially, oral.

This story makes me glad I am NOT a jelly doughnut. Dark humor and stereotypes abound in this quick little tale of cheating and revenge. It is one of the best of this genre I have read and left me with a smile on my face.

I don't normally even read stories this short, but something about the description caught my eye.
I don't particularly like cuckold stories at all, and a particularly not first-person stories.
The opening grabbed my attention, and the story never let go.
I'm not going to spoil anyone's entertainment by giving away any more, but I will say "READ THIS STORY"!
Construction is absolutely elegant, and plot is superb (and complete, which is a surprise given the story length). It's a little gem of a story, and it will make your day.
