A bullied teenage boy gets MORFS and becomes a girl with magnetic powers—but still is bullied. Something’s gotta change.
Sidebar: MORFS is an open shared universe, taking place in the decades following a plague, Massive Ontogenetic Regulation Failure Syndrome, that frequently causes infected teenagers (after the initial epidemic, only teenagers are affected) to morph unpredictably. Sometimes it’s just a shift in appearance, sometimes it’s a hybridization with animal traits, and sometimes they gain psychic powers—some of which lead to superhero adventure yarns. Many stories involve a transgender morph, usually MTF per the rules of ’net porn, and most writers in the universe have migrated off SOL to a couple transgender-themed sites. But of the stories still here, there’s a couple excellent tales, including this one.
So thanks to MORFS, the boy who was Alex becomes an even smaller girl, now Lexi, with magnetic powers … and still gets picked on by a classmate with MORFS powers who fancies herself a superhero. Since her bully is a hero, Lexi decides that must make her a villain. With an armored suit moved by her magnetic fields, Lexi sets out on a life of crime using what is, frankly, the least possible competence. She’s, like, seriously bad at villainy. She also for the first time makes a friend, a best friend, only—well, that goes south as well. It comes out right in the end, and Lexi even grows up some. As one does.
Not a deep tale but definitely entertaining—especially those scenes of least possible competence. Recommended. Note this story is available for Premier Members only, which gives you another reason to get Premier status. Do it!
