I almost didn't read this story, and I really would've missed something if that happened. While the technical deficiencies were numerous, the story itself was (mostly) worth putting up with those flaws.
A little slow to start, a lot unrealistic in places, and at times a significant source of tooth decay... but the characters are so damn interesting (and the sex is almost always there) that I'd almost rate this a 'must read'.
