Just browsing around on a Sunday morning, waiting for the laundry to finish and I got lucky and found my ten for May. It was one of Sagacious recommendations and he lived up to his name, in my opinion.
Good sex, Robert Anson Heinlein novels discussed and some philosophy the character decides to live by. I don't want to spoil it for you by giving away a lot of the plot, which isn't all that complex. If you don't like it I will give you double your money back that you paid for the review. Its not that long, try it, you will like it.
Doing the numbers, 8 is an A and ten is beyond an A plus (9) into "blow me away" territory. I gave the plot an A, starts well and gets better as it goes on, but not amazingly complex. I gave technical an A as well, I didn't see any errors but its difficult for technical items to "blow me away". I don't give tens these days just because I like a story. The appeal number, that is a real ten. Your mileage may vary. Give it a read and see for yourself.
