A lawyer finds an old lamp abandoned on a beach, discovering an evil-tempered Jin inside. Our intrepid hero happens to be a contract attorney and gets three wishes. But the Jin does not like granting any wishes.

So there is a problem: contract lawyers specialize in dealing with the legal issues associated with creating, negotiating, and enforcing contracts. This lawyer uses his training to confuse, entrap and circumnavigate every obstacle the Jin tries to exploit in dealing with humans.
