A woman suddenly realizes that she is in love with her female roommate.
The story is well written, with only a few grammatical and punctuation errors (knees grow weak, not week, for example).
What I would have liked to see was more of a buildup. What caused her to suddenly realize that she loved her? To me, it seemed like it went from point A to point C without anything in between. It also lacked a sense of completion. Perhaps because I am a romantic at heart, I would have enjoyed reading how they presented themselves to the world afterwards. Did they hide their love from everyone, like the roommate appears to have done in an earlier relationship? Did they confront the world and gain acceptance?
To me, it's all about the story. I admit it. Even my favorite songs tell stories.
