Companion by MisguidedChild

Author's Description:
Caleb Connor's life is out of control: understatement! An extraterrestrial space ship crashed on his campsite, and an ancient, ethereal alien took up residence in his head. He doesn't get along with the alien, partially because the alien thinks he landed in a defective human. The Army investigates the crash, and the General in charge has more plans than just protecting the country. Throw in a pretty doctor and a hole in the fabric of creation... Yep. Very out of control. Misguided Child started publishing 'Companion' on SOL in September of 2014, it quickly became a prized story of mine, that included aliens, corrupt military officers, attempting world domination and some old fashioned romance with very little out and out sex.

Just a single man meeting an alien is strange enough but how they meet and what happens next is a great story for book 1 in this series. I loved every minute of reading and strongly recommend this series by Misguided Child.

This is a very well written story, which takes a not uncommon concept but deals with it in a fresh and original manner. The characters are well drawn and generally quite credible, the dialogue flows well and the author concentrates on the plot rather than providing too many paragraphs of tab A, slot B and the interactions thereof, which can often divert one's attention from what is important.

I do urge you to read this book, it is well worth it and if you can encourage Mr. Child to hurry up with parts 2 and 3 of this trilogy, you will have done us all a good turn!
