A story set in the Regiment Universe. This story is about the recruitment, hiring, and introduction of Doctor Barrow to the Regiment. A newly graduated Doctor, Doctor Barrow travels from Boston Mass. To Wilkins Nevada to begin a career as one of the Regiments contracted physicians.

A group of young men and women join the regiment. They start out as individuals but become a team and then part of the family.
