Tear Jerker Stories

This is a different type of story for me. It is based on a compilation of events in the news that have happened in the past few years. Of course it is entirely fiction

Average Joe was damaged in the First World War, shot down for the third time unlucky, often quipping that losing a leg and an ear he was "less than average" and at 43 was a confirmed bachelor. Then he met heavily pregnant widow Anjelica, "call me Anjie", but Joe thought she was an angel. And she was until her first husband turned up Out of the blue like a bad penny. Unusually, this story starts at the End rather than the Beginning.

Fictional War Story told from the point of view of a young soldier who volunteered to fight in Afghanistan. It starts with some background of 2 soldiers who have know each other from childhood. There is a bit of information of the Squad one soldier is assigned to. There is an overview of much of the deployment. Much of this story depicts a brief engagement from the narrator's perspective. this Fictional story is loosely based on actual events. this is part of a larger story I will post later.

This story is a prequel to the video game, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

Violent storms are common in the Midwest. The one described here actually happened outside a little town I was staying in almost 20 years ago. It sounded like a train, the tornado axiom, if you will, but the straight-line winds cleared a windrow to stumps and killed several cattle (and I'm sure a lot of other critters). Friday I was in the shower, during a storm, when my muse spoke to me, and yes, when I looked out back, she was sitting on our boat.

An explosion and fire leaves Cosette, 10, and her mom Syl in crisis, they stay with their divorced neighbor Julie. But where's Sette's dad (Theo)? At Julie's, her ex-husband and his gorgeous admin (now his 2nd wife) visit often, staying, uh, overnight. Together in her bed. Really? How does that even work? Theo is back; he's studly in bed but unemployed, they're at risk for homelessness. Fond of Sette, Julie worries. What to do? (No under 18 sex.)
