A slow building romance based on a dream I had. Exploring the issues of what it means to be alive and what robots might be like. This tale came to me in a dream, which has much to do with it's distinctive character. It's a very personal tale for me and I only hope it serves to touch you as strongly. / (Reviews)

A story in the world of curious devices and their unusual affects.
It's not easy when you're fifteen, your sister is seventeen, and you come home from town to find her in the garden, in her bikini, sunbathing. "What did you buy?" she asks. "This," he says, showing her a curious mechanical Thing he'd found in a charity shop. And from there all kinds of revelations follow... A coming-of-age story with a few twists along the way. NB: some codes only apply late on, so don't let the codes fool you into thinking everying starts to happen right from the get-go.

George, a troubled young man barely existing in the shadow of a tragic mistake, wants only to survive high school. However, his life is upended when a gift from his long-dead father turns out to be the vessel of a powerful Genie, and the woman of his dreams. This is a reimagining of an old story of mine from 2007 called A Beautiful Wish, which is still on this site. It includes a retooled setting with new supporting characters, villains, and love interests. I hope I can do my old work justice.
