As usual Bill and Sarah put off dealing with their problems but at least Sarah's dad is there to look out for them. This story COULD be continued if there's enough interest.
A Swarm Cycle Story
A high school boy struggles with social changes of the pre-apocalyptic world, girl crush problem, and his existential crisis. He wants to be left alone and eaten alive by the alien swarm. His family and best friends try their best to sway his mind, to join the Confederacy. Will he allow it? How did they trap him?
A Calamity has wiped out most of the population. A few powerful men run each surviving nation. They want to repopulate the world quickly, and for that purpose they need a reproduction rate above what the women would choose. Using some clever bits of genetic engineering, the ruling men compel women to do their bidding in the realm of sex and reproduction, without threat or force.
In the not too distant future, the drug EverYouth has granted immortality and eternal youth to all - but at a price for only males who have not used the drug remain virile ... and, therefore, in great demand...
