A The Alderian Wars Story The last stand of the Battleship Inflexible. This is a short story about a woman and her last command. These stories are sub stories of the Swiftshire book I am working on. These are based in the Aldearian Wars. There are four major powers, but the Primary are the Alderian and the Gormarian empires. They take place roughly 5000 years from now.
A Wasps Story Join the inter-species crew of the battle carrier "Freya" as they roam interstellar space hunting down and killing Wasps. They meet all kinds of strange beings, some good and some bad, but all victims or potential victims of the Wasps as they try to control the galaxy. Possibly the "Freya" was misnamed and should have been called the "Bug Bomb!" FTL travel does weird things to your sense of humor.
Ken is totally blind, but something very strange happens when he reaches puberty: He starts seeing sex organs. Red is for male, green for female. Then he finds that the new girl Lisa at the blind school has the same kind of vision. They are drawn to each other, and drawn to sexual exploration as they are exposed before each other. They see things both wonderful and not so wonderful that are hidden from the sighted.
A Swarm Cycle Story
This is not a complete story, it is merely a couple of scenes from the end of the "Independent Command" storyline. I have no intention of ever turning this into a novel; it is merely a response to a question on the Swarm author's list about how to respond to a disaster in that universe
