This story is special to me because Claire is based on a real girl I went to school with and fancied like mad. The narrator of this story is very much me in the early part of the story. However, this story isn't what actually happened between us. Far from it. Perhaps it’s just what I wished had happened. Originally written in 1998, this version of the story is from 2004.
