Carl is a divorced man, who is spending the night before Halloween alone because his daughter decided to go to a party instead. But when shopping he sees a rabbit costume, so decides to crash the party and check up on her. This is an extended version of my earlier story "Harvey". Most of the story is the same, but the ending is different. In short, it is no longer a "Dark Tale" in the same way as I gave it a happier ending.
Eddie and his mother enjoy their special relationship, though she allows his other trysts without jealousy. Approached by one of Eddie's teachers, who revealed she, too, has been in a relationship with a now absent son, Eddie's mother agrees to share.
