A Halloween 2021 Contest Entry
A short Halloween story with a bit of paranormal stuff thrown in. Takes place in the American Southwest a few years back perhaps. A first story for me. I'd like to thank RLFJ for all his help in editing and in posting and background advice. It's a vastly better story with his input, any errors are mine of course, as I am a bit stubborn.
Donald Finney is a soldier stationed in H-Space, a newly discovered dimension adjacent to our own. Ezquerra, a fellow soldier with a dubious reputation, shows him some unusual flora with flowers that look exactly like a woman's sex organs. Conincidence or deliberate? He does meet some interesting heroes on the way as they fight to free Samsor from Hell-spawned domination. This is another Diablo ripoff, so be warned. There's lots of mayhem and magic, demons and monsters, so keep your head down to avoid the stray fire ball or lightning bolt.
