There may be a lactation theme, but denial is the point of the story. Nursing persists only as an excuse to indulge in more intimate pursuits.

A group of cowboys tried to rape his aunt, and they killed the sheriff when he tried to arrest them. So Bobby put on the sheriff's badge and went after the miscreants. They should have surrendered peaceably. But they didn't.
