Does anybody really like a wizard? Aden is a wizard and he is not even sure that he likes himself. People call him cantankerous and obstinate to his face, but he has his reasons. In a distant future, people think he is performing magic when he is just practicing "science." Alas, science is fading away, shifting from memory into forgetfulness as the world slips into a melancholy repose. Then the past rears its ugly head.

I decided to do a Zombie Story that deals with the live people and working the Zombies in as I go.

Sucking It Up is a companion story for In It For Life (the sequel to Prison Island). For people who have already read my two other stories in the same universe, published here, on SOL, it's about Mouse's life in the army, how he got to know captain Reynolds and other people. There will be some intersections with the main storyline from In It For Life, but it will be mainly about Mouse and how he uses his mouth to make friends while serving the country.
