His father was a Ranger and killed fighting men and dark creatures in and around the Dark Woods. From a young age he was determined to follow in his father's steps. When he wins his chance his selects two halfbreed elven women to help and supports him. From bandit to drakes to a wyvern he and his team of Rangers battle to restore order to the forest.

This is the story of John Edwards, a fighter pilot in WW1, his combat experiences, and his romance with Connie Butler, a Red Cross worker. Most of the story involves a little-known, but very important, battle against the German observation balloons. John's favorite method of attack came from my imagination, but it could have worked and made a difference in the war. Every infantryman in WW1 had nothing but praise for the guts of the balloon busters.
