As the title suggests, this story is a tribute to cmsix, one of my favorite authors, may he rest in peace. I realize that he only completed 19 stories of the 57 he started, but they are always good for making me smile. The plot is simple: Modern guy dies and ends up in a made-for-TV contest on a planet equivalent to Earth 40,000 years ago. Don't bother reading it if you're looking for a lot of emotional drama. This story is simply for your entertainment.
The Powerborne Series Ral Sutton, a college freshman with an unconventional secret, stumbles onto a murder as it happens. A young man, born and raised in the mountain wilderness of NW Arkansas goes to work for 'Uno Bravo', a special ops contractor for the CIA. He has a partner named 'Dog'. They're sent behind enemy lines, time and time again. He's wounded so many times, they force him to retire after 13 years of service. He moves back to the wilderness to get away, and so this story begins. There's plenty of action, some sex, and a lot of violence, blood and gore.
A young boy of ten loses his parents, leaving him at the mercy of Child Protective Services. When he expects the worst, a legitimate foundation swoops in, offering him a new family and a chance to regain his future, perhaps even a better one. Nothing is free in this world though, and no foundation or corporation is completely benevolent, especially one that holds lucrative patents in nanotech.
