A family is chosen to participate in a mysterious ritual.

The coming of age ritual of the Ravenclaw tribe on the Colombia River was for a high chief or god to initiate four-teen-year-old candidates to be warrior scouts and then to turn them over to a warrior for training and seeding for four years. Ravenclaw's high chief sends out a search party to find a dark god to initiate his son, Pony Boy. They come back with the studly black slave, Jonas.

Decisions, decisions, Linda, formerly, Lawrence, is on her way to an entirely different way of life. The young intern is confused with an identity crisis that will determine his/her future. voting turned off due to obvious trolling.

By 1920, the Chinese authorities in northeast China's Manchuria respond to the vast influx of White Russian refugees flowing into the city of Harbin, escaping the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia, by disenfranchising the refugees, making them nonpersons. They are on their own to thrive or die. Beautiful, small fourteen-year-old boy Pyotr survives by selling himself to an auction house serving men with a boy fetish and unusual sexual tastes.

Bounty hunter Jacob Harding tracks down an escaped slave, fourteen-year-old Nat, from a Virginia plantation. He wonders why the plantation owner is offering such a high fee to get Nat back, but after Harding encounters the boy and finds out how he can be used, he doesn’t wonder anymore.
