A story in the Boot Scootin at the Texas Two Step Saloon Universe
Pete's mid life crisis comes when he is making his most important installation in Texas. His long absence from home is a problem and he wonders if his wife might be having an affair. Never having cheated he goes to a bar and meets a woman who invites him to her house then invites him back to play with her and her sexy daughter. He finds out that his client wants to hire him but his client is the father of the woman with whom he is having sex.
This isn't supposed to be a fancy story but just a story of people at Christmas and shortly afterward. I hope your Christmas is joyful and you remember "the reason for the season!" Back in 1984 Dave met Marie at a frat party, a place she wouldn't be caught dead in. He followed her around campus until she decided to call his bluff and invite him to a punk show, a place she assumed he wouldn't be caught dead in. She was wrong. This is only a tiny part of their story.
Saturday morning reverie is shaken by the appearance of a uniform at the front door. But, then the announcement of "Umm... do you... er... want... my... ah... my cookies?" opens the door!
