Martha Templeton was never beautiful, she wasn’t even pretty, but she had a pleasant face and a bedworthy figure. After arrest and transportation to a prison planet, she uses the talents which helped her on Earth to build a similar life in the prison.

Chance is not only named after his father, but has assumed the responsibility as man of the house since his dad was taken in an accident. On the summer before heading off to college, he discovers that there's one place he hasn't yet filled in for his dad.
