Fictional War Story told from the point of view of a young soldier who volunteered to fight in Afghanistan. It starts with some background of 2 soldiers who have know each other from childhood. There is a bit of information of the Squad one soldier is assigned to. There is an overview of much of the deployment. Much of this story depicts a brief engagement from the narrator's perspective. this Fictional story is loosely based on actual events. this is part of a larger story I will post later.

A young soldier's adventures

As winter is setting in in northern Virginia, fourteen-year-old runaway Kenny is lured away from under a highway underpass by a money-for-sex offer into the truck of a gardening center crew leader who is missing the servicing of his fourteen-year-old stepson. Short men on his crew, the man gives Kenny a job handling a leaf-blower and introduces him to an interested client. Is this the answer to Kenny’s need to stay out of the winter cold?

The world can saddle you with events in your life that change it entirely from tragic to uncharted ways. We all have lived through various tragedies, which is not the focus. Events cannot change the past; the focus must be on the future. These are new uncharted territories of that future that spring from multiple places. This is the first story in that genre. It's 5 chapters and over 60k words.
