An eighteen-year old nursing student strikes up a friendship with a terminal patient at the care facility where she works as a nursing assistant. Two years after her grandmother's death, and still living with, and taking care of, her grandfather, Meadow's caring behavior draws her towards offering more than just basic care.
That probably wouldn't have been how Maria would have described it as she lay on the floor, nursing her injured hands. But when she got back from the hospital and realized that she couldn't take off her own panties, possibilities did start to occur to her.
If you've read 'The Lost Child' this will make more sense, since it's Robin's story, from her point of view of being found by Charlie on the lake's rock bank two days after the boat crash. It will make sense if read first, however. Enjoy, please.
