Stories in the Frank's Post-Apoc World Universe
Much of this originally appeared on finestories.com. It has been through a number of rewrites with some new material as well as many changes to cover where the story now goes. It's post-apocalyptic but is about people not so much as the event. I hope you will like the characters as they engage in living in a new and different world.

Ben Hart is a US Marshal out of Sacramento, California in the late 1880's or so people think. He saves a family, delivers a baby, kills some bad guys, and tracks down some rustlers over the course of a little over a week. Then he rides into the sunset. [2026 Edition, Heavily Revised] Beautiful Tracy, infant Alicia's new mother, is rescued from a blizzard by lawyer Reina. They become a new family of 3, then 4, then 5, led by a passionate FFM triad. Alicia's BFF, also 10, is adopted after her abusive parents lose custody. After a senseless violent confrontation, both sisters miss their Senior Prom. But instead, each girl has a romantic vacation trip with their beaus. (Offstage mention of child abuse, but no under age 18 sex.)

Utilizing a rare portal to travel between worlds, he seeks to exploit each world to gain power and influence in the other. Fire and Ice is the first story from the world of Lord Bent's Manor.

Survivor of a virulent bio-weapon attack gone wrong tries to figure out what to do with himself and how to best survive. He ends up leading an effort to regroup and restart civilization. I know there are a lot of stories out there like this, I've read all or most of them. This is my take on it.
