This story suddenly came to me while I was reading a novel on my tablet. The story demanded that I put the Hodgell novel away and write it. I had no other choice. The sex is mostly off-stage.
After his divorce, Jim moves back north, close to his hometown. Jim is at a loose end until he meets an intriguing pair of 15-year-old twins, Willow and Zac, who live in the house that backs onto his. Willow takes over his life, and this is the turning point he needed. After meeting Maddy, the twins grow even closer to Jim and Maddy. A Swarm Cycle Story
A Vulcan colony story in the Swarm Cycle Universe. Now that his family has been picked up and General Fred Winthrop has been assigned a colony to run, he needs some people to populate it. If it has been a while since you read Part 1, you might want to check the cast of characters included with that story. Meeting in church two young couples become friends and establish a swinging relationship. While looking for an apartment that will make their relationship sustainable, they meet a widow who was involved in a swinging relationship with one of the wives' parents (See All for One and One for All). On their third Christmas, the couples visit the wife's parents where they pursue a familial swap. Before the holiday is over the widow joins the couples and the parents in a swapping party.

A Story in the The Anomaly Universe
Surely this is exactly what Beatrice was always meant to be. She had in Paul a loving faithful husband. She had as many other lovers as she might desire. And most of all she was playing a crucial role in the Space Ship Intrepid's quest for the Anomaly. How could it ever be better for her? But Beatrice's moment of glory and the success of the Intrepid's mission is under threat from shadowy and mysterious entities whose very existence has not even been suspected.
