Susie, disappointed by her husband's sexual behaviour with their teenage daughter decided to leave him and marry the Headmaster of the school where she worked, as he had been wanting her for many years. She hoped to save her daughter from being debauched by her father, and also hoped for a respectable life for herself, but... This story should preferably be read after reading CHUCK'S DAUGHTER.

During the summer of 1948 a boy from Boston vacations with a relative in Alabama. He meets a black girl. She's young and beautiful, and they're teenagers. The story is fiction, but based on five intriguing entries in my grandfathers journal I've always wondered about. (I changed the names though, in case something like it actually happened.)
