His first case would prove to be a greater challenge than expected. This story was written as part of a challenge to honor the style of Mickey Spillane and his Hammer character. I'm no Mickey, for sure, but I hope my offering is enjoyable.

A young man becomes the friend of an old man sitting on a bench in the park who he sees when he jogs past every day. The old man had a hidden life and it is only discovered after he passes away leaving the young man to mourn his passing. [No sex.]

I have redone this story to improve the grammar and make for adding to the story easier for me. Sorry it has taken so long.

If you've never read "Black Lagoon", well, I love it, and I've got every volume. It's a Japanese manga series, you might like it, you might not, there's a lot of violence in it (go figure...) but it gave me the idea for this little story, so I hacked out this a while ago. And now, that warning: this story does have more than a little death and violence... so if that's not your thing, skip this one.

This is the sequel to my other story titled 24 Kills for Shelly. This 80000 word story finishes the end of man what the Norse (Vikings) called Ragnarok. I haven't finished editing the last couple of chapters so please don't get hung up on the grammar and spelling errors.
