This is my submission to an invitation from Jake Rivers to write a story about the song Maggie Mae, or Maggie May. Hope you enjoy it.

A young man, just out of law school, learns that he is rich. He is told that he should look for a Diamond, like his mother, for a wife. He find her, but she is in a coma like state. He gambles and put all he, or is, has on the line.

In 1917 Joanna Begg and her family were on a peaceful cruise off San Diego when the yacht broke down. They believed their luck was in when their SOS signal was picked up by a mysterious sailing ship.
