A young man, born and raised in the mountain wilderness of NW Arkansas goes to work for 'Uno Bravo', a special ops contractor for the CIA. He has a partner named 'Dog'. They're sent behind enemy lines, time and time again. He's wounded so many times, they force him to retire after 13 years of service. He moves back to the wilderness to get away, and so this story begins. There's plenty of action, some sex, and a lot of violence, blood and gore.
It seemed like too much money to simply retrieve a cheating wife. But then the wife turned up dead and our heroes found themselves drawn inexorably deeper into a terror plot. You might think that none of what then ensues is plausible. But, you would be completely wrong. Most of it's already happened - somewhere. Of course there's a twist. It's hard to say which topic I enjoy more… time travel or alt-history. Those aren't mutually exclusive. So, I'm exploring what might happen if my hero finds himself in an alternative universe where it's 1962, and the Germans are winning World War Two. Part of the story involves how he got there and what he does when he arrives. The rest is a simple love story with a profound twist. There's a bit of sting theory thrown in. And extra credit to anybody who figures out how the title ties in.

I bought the bikinis on a whim. Actually, it was the towels that caught my eye and made me stop, but the bikinis were there, too, at the sidewalk vendor's stall. And I was in a hurry, so I didn't examine things very much. I trusted the girl working there to offer me information I should have sought out. Anyway, I bought matching bikinis for my wife and daughter. Turned out they were very small bikinis. My wife's reaction wasn't what I expected. My daughter's reaction blew my mind.
