Molly attends the wedding of her sister, but her husband can't come with, so she brings her son Tim. Tim's wife can't come either because she has to work. A twist of fate puts them in the same room at their hotel and an embarrassing tendency of Tim's makes for unexpected relations between mother and son.
Ben is destroyed by his wife's betrayal. While still trying to pull his life together, he meets a woman who has also suffered a horrendous past. Can these two broken people find love with each other? I hope you enjoy this story about hope and love. The two main characters are people of faith, and their actions and dialogue reflect that style of life. If any hint of religion offends you, this is your fair warning.
Emma loves Hamish but won't wait for him while he goes off to make his career. When they meet again after thirty years they argue over the colour of the blouse she was wearing when they last met. It was the only thing she had on, so it should be easy. Perhaps reenacting that last meeting will stir their memories.
This story was written for the ASSM Anniversary 'Blanket Party' in November 2003.
A Middletown story
DB86 #1 Thanks Vandemonium1 for inspiring me to put these stories into writing. Edited by Pat Sometimes, when you lose, you still win. ** This is a revised version of my first story. I corrected some mistakes, rewrote some paragraphs, and added a few lines here and there. Enjoy.
