Veilguard Saga — a series by Lumpy

A throwback high fantasy series in the vein of 80s & 90s fantasy from R.A. Salvator, Dragonlance, and Pern, with progression elements as Osric and his party grow to meet the challenges placed before them. The Veilguard Saga follows Osric Yarrow, a young blacksmith's apprentice in a small corner of The Crownlands of Aeloria. A happenstance find sets Osric down a path of discovery, as he is hunted by a shadowy group, discovers how far magic has unraveled, and learns of an impending war that could end their reality forever. As Osric begins to unravel a conspiracy that traces back millennia, he gathers allies to prepare the nine realms for the looming threat.
