Set in the Catalum universe, a series of Commanders suffer teleport malfunctions that strand them in a different timeline. They teleport to Earth, just not their Earth.
The teleporter fried while trying to transport the commander home from the frontlines. The commander ends up not only in a different place, but a different time as well. He is immediately considered hostile and attacked by Earth's militaries.
