One phase of Alex's life is ending. He's a few months away from turning 40, and he's suddenly both unemployed and wealthy. He meets Jessica in a bar, and she introduces him to her sister Katelyn. Together, the three of them form a new family, and begin a new phase in life, together.
Alex is at a turning point in life, and it's the holiday season. With no one to celebrate with, he hits the road. He is not sure where he is going, only that it will be somewhere different. A broken car leads him to new friends and the beginnings of a fresh start in life. This story (16 chapters and 60,000 words) is the first part in a series of stories about these characters. (The codes apply to the whole story, and not to the individual chapters. There is sex, but not until Chapter 5.)
In this sequel to It Started With Christmas, 39 year old Alex continues to build his new relationship with 23 year old Jessica, who he met a couple of weeks before. But what about Katelyn, Jess's younger sister, who wants Alex to have sex with her? Can Alex change Katie's mind, or will the two of them hook up?
