So I have strong likes and dislikes. My major like is a story that is consistent to itself. I want to see characters grow and act in a way that makes sense. The worm doesn't become a dragon overnight!
My major dislike is lack of plot. I accept that a stroke story is just that but I'd like to see a reason for A to get it on with B. If the reason makes sense then so much the better.
I can live with grammatical errors and spelling mistakes, if the story is good then I won't really notice them. I want to be entertained, to feel for the people involved and want to get to the end of the story.
I have squicks and if a story touches one I won't review it, I can't be impartial in those circumstances so it's not fair. Other than that there are stories here which are as good as ones I've paid good money to buy and my goal as a reviewer is to point out some of those but also some of the stories that could be in that class if they were worked on.
