The Hitchhiker is a first for me. It's the first time (as far as I can recall) that I've reviewed a story that has already been reviewed by someone else. Why? Because it's so good of course!
Those of you who have read other reviews by me, probably know that I never score a ten for Technical Quality, on the premise that no M/S can ever be perfect. Having said that, The Hitchhiker is as close to perfect as it gets, 'Janna' sets a standard we can all aspire to.
The plot is simple, but engaging, and the characters are very human, with all the imperfections that that implies. One of the reasons that you are drawn so deeply into the story, is that it's possible to relate to the characters.
If I have a quarrel at all with this story, it's the ending. I see why it ends where it does, and it's absolutely right, and fitting. Selfishly though, I wanted this story to run on for another fifty chapters or so, so I was not a happy bunny when it ended.
If you like a romantic story, I can thoroughly recommend The Hitchhiker, it is definitely library material. Read it, enjoy it, and add it to your own library, you won't regret it!
I'm off to read some more 'Janna Leonard' stories.

This was the first story by Janna Leonard I've read but it won't be my last!
When I started reading 'The Hitchhiker' I hadn't looked to see if the author was male or female but it didn't take long to find out - no male author could write the scenes that Janna writes!
The story takes place on a lonely ranch and culminates in a trip to the big city. I won't give a way the details but if you would like to read a well written story with a lesbian theme then this is for you. If you're looking for a very well written love story this is it too! My hats is off to this author, I only wish I had half of her talent!
