A year? Really?

I knew I'd been slowing down. 'The Recluse', my current posting is the first since December last. But looking at my blog, the last entry was September last! Where's the time gone? I have been quite busy. My little gate lodge is now defaced by an enormous heat pump. I remain sceptical - not about heat pumps in general, but more about the ability of such to heat satisfactorily a Victorian stone-built house. The installation has required some changes, and I must somehow find homes for stuff which was evicted to make room for the pipe-work and ancillaries. I've been out on Oscar from time to time and it occurred to me I ought to blog my outings, even if they're just a ride through the country to visit a biker cafe. Yorkshire and Derbyshire are quite photogenic, after all.
The Park Cafe is still my preferred destination for my daily exercise, only changed on a Friday (Library Assistant Day) and Saturday (Park Run Day. I do not run, and I dislike being trampled underfoot by several hundred runners). Those of my readers who believe in such things might pray for inspiration for me as my Muse has been rather quiet.
Anyway, I suppose I need to buckle down and finish another chapter of 'The Recluse'.
I am so grateful to my readers, especially when you take the time to comment or feedback, so thank you.
Ted

Oops! Error in last posting. The Tallboy bomb was, of course 6tons, 12,000lb, NOT 6,000lb. I will correct that as soon as I can. It's been pointed out twice so, please, not again!

My 'Oscar' stories are not all about the same machine. However, in the posting queue is one about my Oscar, a 2015 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 B5 EFI. This Oscar is, in fact the origin of the series even though, as I say, some of the machines in the series are other. In this case, the account is true. A short record of a day outing across the Pennines to visit an aviation museum. Oscar is not a big, high-powered machine, but is well suited to an outing on country roads with steep hills and tight bends. I hope you enjoy the tale.

I've just submitted a new Oscar short story, which I hope will be enjoyed. I notice that 'Yelka' has finally achieved the dizzying heights of a score of 8.00. I wonder if that will endure?
Thanks!
